Our take
Pike Logan goes rogue for a friend in Africa
When Mossad veteran Aaron is snatched during a job in southern Africa, his partner Shoshana stops playing by anyone's rules, and Pike Logan has to choose between the Taskforce and the friends who've bled for him. Readers single out Taylor's Special Forces background: the tradecraft, gear and firefights feel lived-in, and Shoshana steals every scene. Critics called it one of the series' most ambitious entries. It runs long, with heavy jargon and a slow first act. We picked it because, at this price, it's a cheap way to see why this series has such a loyal following.
